You start off along the Omokoroa Walkway around the peninsula then head through Lynley Park residential area before dropping down onto the cycleway. From here you head over the rail bridge onto Plummers Point Peninsula. The cycleway takes you along a stretch of road around the peninsula before reconnecting with the cycleway heading towards Te Puna. You will go under the next railway bridge and up to the turn around where the cycleway meets Newnham Road. From there you head back towards Omokoroa taking a ‘short cut’ back to the railway bridge and onto the Omokoroa cycleway to the finish line.
The route is a mixture of walkway, cycleway (boardwalk and gravel) , road and footpath. There are a few hills but nothing too scary and it is drop dead gorgeous all the way. We know you are going to love it!
There are 4 water stations and one set of public toilets on the route.
